"There was a little man."

The things is, I don’t care about ‘canon’ or ‘not canon’ — that’s not my problem. You interact with a story on your own terms, in the same way you interact with a person. Stories belong to everyone, and to no one, IMO. You get to decide how much a creator’s imput affects ‘your story’. You get to decide all of it. I’m more concerned about the fandom. I was there when ‘Delusional’ broke. I was there in the forums, and in fictionalley/schnoogle, and Mugglenet and Leaky, and MuggleCast, and PotterCast - and I saw how it destroyed people. People went NUTS. H/Hr shippers were offended, and hurt, they were angry, and inconsoulable - in the same way that fans were when DumbledoresNotDead.com came out. It was scary. And some R/Hr shippers were not necessarily kind in return.I’m worried about my fandom, and about how the media will exploit it - and for how long… How many fans will be coloured by this? And how many people who don’t read the books will be further self-satisfied? And I think that’s a pretty legitimate concern here.
